The School Community Youth Collaborative team recognizes the importance of working together with our community partners to achieve our goals. Our partners bring a range of skills and experience to the table, allowing us to create impactful programs that make a difference in the lives of youth and their families.
The public health department of Montezuma County provides preventative and acute health services to the area.
Mancos High School
Mancos High School was built in 1909 and is the longest continuously used high school in the State of Colorado. The one-two punch of project-based learning (PBL), and career pathways coursework provides our most senior Bluejays with opportunities for academic and career exploration that you might only expect in larger, urban school districts.
San Juan Mountian Association
Founded in 1988, the San Juan Mountains Association (SJMA), promotes the exploration and protection of public lands in Southwest Colorado through stewardship and conservation education for people of all ages.
Montezuma Inspire Coalition
Montezuma Inspire Coalition (MIC) serves youth living in Montezuma County, including the population centers of Cortez, Mancos, Dolores, and Towoac. MIC brings together a diverse group of nonprofits, businesses and governmental organizations
San Juan BOCES
The San Juan BOCES is the Administrative Unit for Special Education in our 8 member public school districts. We provide specialized services and support to schools to ensure that all students with disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment (LRE).
Pinon Project
The Piñon Project Family Resource Center is a a non-profit organization that was created in 1994 in response to a grassroots movement to create a healthier future for Montezuma County. Today, with strong community support, The Piñon Project provides services that promote outcomes for over 3,000 families and their children in SW Colorado every year.
